Role Description – Mental Health Support Worker
Gray Healthcare are recruiting a new team of mental health support workers within the Fulwood area of Preston to support a lady in her 40's who has a diagnosis of Paranoid Schizophrenia, EUPD and Learning Disabilities who be living independently in her own home receiving 2:1 support 24 hours a day. The lady we will be supporting is looking for individuals with a good sense of humour, someone who isn’t too serious and has an interest in cooking, bingo, and activities such as swimming and outdoor walks. She will be supported by a mixed gender team on mixed shifts of days and waking nights. We are recruiting drivers only for this role as the individual we support will have a mobility vehicle to access the community.
Mental Health Support Worker Required Skills and Experience
Hours
36 hour contracts 3 x12 hour shifts per week. We have day shifts and waking night shifts available.
Or
24 hour contracts 2 x 12 hour shifts per week.
Induction and Training
We provide an initial week of training which is a combination of online training. (Company induction, systems, and Medication.) Followed by in-person training on PROACT-SCIPr-UK which is a PBS approach to least restrictive practice, this is a therapeutic and proven alternative to restraint dominate approaches. You will then complete the person-centred training, specific to the person that you are supporting. Training continues throughout your time with Gray Healthcare, and we encourage you to develop and grow your career with us.
