Wastewater Technician CSW - Preston - SUS

Sapphire Utility Solutions are looking to appoint a Waste Water technician to work on one of our main contracts. Successful applicants will be tasked with locating drainage cross connections. All data findings will need to be collated and recorded in line with company procedures.

Location: Depot location is Bamber Bridge, however the role is field based working across the North West

Salary: £30,810 per annum 

Hours of work: 50 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 06.30am-16.30pm.

Responsibilities – but not limited to:

• Attending customers, informing them of works due to be carried out and answering any concerns. 
• Using dye to trace flow through drainage systems and locate cross connections and record output.
• Using CCTV Equipment to map drains and check flow output
• Investigating waste water flow both visually and vis CCTV. 
• Reporting all findings/data to the appropriate teams.
• Where required assist on other workstreams. 

Experience and qualifications require for the role:

• Full UK driving licence
• Previous drainage experience would be an advantage.
• Excellent customer service skills 
• Confident using IT systems. 

Training:

Due to the nature of the workstream, full training will be provided in the following, 

• High pressure water jetting 
• Confined spaces 
• SLG 
• Banksman and spill response
• First Aid at work
• Manual handling 
• Calm water
