Lancashire County Council’s Children and Family Wellbeing Service is looking for a dynamic and innovative Family Support Development Officer to join our management team. This exciting role is central to our ambition of delivering a leading families first model focussing on early intervention, prevention, and a whole family approach. 

In this newly created post, you will share our ambition to provide a children, young people and families service that delivers exceptional early intervention and meaningful support to prevent escalation and improve outcomes. 

This exciting new role focuses on developing, delivering, and reviewing services for children, young people, and families, particularly in relation to national initiatives like Family Hubs and Family Help. 

Your role will include:

• Focus:

The role centres around improving services for children, young people, and families, often with a specific focus on national initiatives. 

• Responsibilities:
• Development: Developing new services and initiatives to meet the needs of families. 
• Delivery: Ensuring the effective implementation of services. 
• Collaboration: Work closely with senior managers, stakeholders, and strategic partners to develop and enhance service delivery.
• Review: Evaluating the effectiveness of existing services and identifying areas for improvement. 

• National Initiatives: Working in relation to national developments like Family Hubs, Family Help, Holiday Activities Fund, and Reducing Parental Conflict.
