Location: County Hall, Preston (Hybrid Working)

Are you a visionary leader with a passion for improving and transforming public services? Lancashire County Council is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Transformation and Improvement to lead our ambitious change agenda. You will join an organisation energised by its new vision to 'Build a Better Lancashire' and a commitment to 'Think Differently' to secure effective and efficient services. 
 
As our Head of Transformation and Improvement, you will be: 

  • Leading the planning and effecting the delivery of the council's Transformation and Improvement Portfolio, 
  • Inspiring and supporting senior managers across the council to achieve the Transformation and Improvement Portfolio outcomes 
  • Leading and developing the transformation and service improvement service, as a high-quality internal consultancy with a range of redesign and programme management capabilities. 
  • Collaborating and influencing with stakeholders at all levels.  
  •  Fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. 
    Monitoring and evaluating the impact of transformation and improvement programmes to ensure they deliver the desired outcomes. 

What we are looking for: 

  • Strategic Leadership - You'll have substantial leadership experience delivering Transformation and Improvement within a local authority or similar public sector environment.
  • Service Excellence - You'll have a proven track record of delivering high-quality transformation and improvement services, managing complex budgets and leading high performing teams.  
  • Stakeholder Engagement - You'll have significant experience of working with senior stakeholders, evidencing your ability to build credibility with senior managers, elected members, and external partners.
