About the Role:


Sapphire Utility Solutions are looking to appoint a Health and Safety Administrator in support of United Utilities and other divisions within Sapphire Utility Solutions. The role is a fixed term contract of 9 months to cover maternity leave.


Working closely with the Health and Safety Manager and Advisors, you will support with administration across the various workstreams and divisions which form Sapphire Utility Solutions based at our Head Office in Bamber Bridge.


Location: Bamber Bridge, Preston, Lancashire

Hours: Monday to Friday – 40 Hours per week (Monday to Friday, 08.00am-16.30pm)

Salary: £28,000 per annum

Employment Type: Fixed Term for 9 months

 

Responsibilities – but not limited to:


  • Assisting advisors with Depot and site inspections
  • Compiling report information 
  • Assessing near miss submissions
  • Creating communications on behalf of the Health and Safety team to the wider company
  • Providing operative level support on guidance and advice
  • General administration duties


Experience and qualifications desirable for the role:


  • Either a NEBOSH qualification or a IOSH Managing Safely or previous experience in the utilities industry 
  • Full UK Driving Licence (desirable)
  • Ability to prioritise in a busy, changing environment.
  • Team player with an ability to build good working relationships across all levels of personnel.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suites
