Electrical Design Engineer

Expleo is a leading aerospace engineering and quality assurance services provider. We work with some of the major space and defence providers and OEMs on their transformational projects. 

We are seeking Electrical Design Engineers for a long-term work package

• Develop, implement, check/approve technical solutions and compliance documentation for work-packages to ensure they are compliant with all relevant customer, regulatory, and airworthiness requirements, within agreed program, schedule, and manufacturing constraints.
• Identify, analyse and resolve technical problems and apply/integrate solutions.
• Analyse customer tasking documents and define the associated technical solutions as input for bids and proposals within assigned programs/projects.
• Identify and assess technical risk and propose mitigations relevant to the work-package within assigned programmes/projects.
• Create and check/approve design definitions of a work-package
• Design definition of wiring / harness assemblies for manufacture
• Electrical layouts, wiring / harness routing, equipment integration
• Ability to interpret FTI Wiring Schematic Drawings (Series 1) and producing Series 2’s drawings
• Generate or review, and sign as appropriate the assigned project deliverables, documents, and reports according to the project signature authorizations.
• Support and participate in technical and customer reviews, including formal gate reviews and in  the creation and preparation of technical data and presentations of a work-package.
• Perform all activities at a level of minimal supervision and guide other engineers within the work-package as required.

• Working knowledge of A/C electrical installations and there requirements
• Knowledge of FTI installations and electrical equipment mounting
• Knowledge of PDM systems and the principles of configuration control
• Previous delegated design authority (checking) desirable
• Good Communication
• Knowledge of aerospace or previous experience.
• Experience with working with stakeholders, chief engineers and Local Programmes teams.
• CAD: Catia V5
• Teams / Outlook / MS Office

• 5 to 10 years experience in the industry.
