Due to company growth we are looking for a Transport Manager to join our growing fleet department. 


Location: Preston

Salary: £40,000


Responsibilities:

• Driver Tachograph analysis. The TC is to support transport manager for all tachograph

Analysis using Tacho Master. This includes;

o WTD vs Driver hours

o Weekly vehicle tachograph checks in-line with vehicle inspections.

o Analysis of all tachograph records to ensure compliance with legislation, law and

working time directive rules.


• Daily Defects – Walk Around Checks – Ensure that accounted for and completed from vehicles in use vs stood. FV

or endorsed system is updated and that all assets are visible on Samsara (liaise with hire desk for external hires trailers etc). Defects are past to workshop manager/head of fleet to action.

Non reported daily are escalated to transport manager daily

Any defects passed to workshop coordinator to open job card on syrinx (job card number is

to be used as ref on FV for defect)


• Vehicle Inspections, MOT. TC must support TM ensuring that a record is

kept and reported to all depots detailing the inspections, service, MOT and taxation so work

can be booked in for pre-planned works,


• Driver licenses – Check driver licenses for points, disqualification in line with insurance

requirements.

• Scheduling – Pre planned inspections services, MOT are distributed to relevant manager to

notify of any re-programmed works, liaise with head of fleet & work shop coordinator to

book into workshop so all jobs care covered, schedule sent out operations to ensure that all appointments are not missed. .

This role will be measured with Key Performance Indicators [KPI] against;

• Scheduling updates are passed to managers

• None report Daily defects are inputted and report to TM

• Vehicle maintenance planning.
